जाने का जब समय नजदीक आया था,
दिल न जाने क्यों भर आया था।
नजरें मिलीं तुमसे जब तुम चलने को हुए थे,
कुछ कह न पाए तुमसे बस खामोश बैठे रहे थे।
रोकता कैसे उस वक़्त को मेरे हाथ में न था,
रुंध गया था गला मेरा और दिल में बेहद शोर था।
बेचैनियों को अपनी छुपा बस हम मुस्कुरा दिए थे,
नजरें झुका कर हमने सारे आंसू छुपा लिए थे।
