लेकर भाला तुम जो दौड़े थे न
भरकर अपनी बाँहों में विद्युत वो हिन्दुस्तानी लाल
तुमने छेदा बादल था न…

माथे से छलकी बूँद पसीना थी न
सवा अरब आँखो की जो प्यास बुझी
खुशियों की तुमने की थी बारिश न…

तुमने जो नापी भाले से वो दूरी ही थी न
एक अदद स्वर्ण पदक लाने को हमारे पाले में
तुमने तय की वो दूरी थी न…

तुमने जो फेंका वो भाला ही था न
गोल्ड की उम्मीद पर लगा था जो ताला
तुमने तोड़ा वो ताला था न…

तुमने एक सपना देखा था न
कितनी निराश आँखों मे जो कौंध गयी
वो तेरी स्वर्णिम चमक थी न…
