क्या खोया-क्या पाया!

इतनी भाग दौड़ के बाद बस यही नतीजा निकला,
न कभी फ़ुर्सत मिली और न ही कोई काम निकला !

ज़िंदगी तुझे तो हम कभी समझ ही न सके,
उलझनों को सुलझाते रहे पर न कोई हल निकला !

जब भी हमको लगा तुझे पहचानने लगे हम,
जब जब पर्दा उठा तब तब चेहरा नया निकला !

आरज़ू थी कि एक शाम होगी और तेरा साथ होगा,
इंतज़ार में हो गयी रात न जाने कब ये दिन निकला !

ये तो कुछ शब्द हैं जो निभा रहे हैं तेरा साथ,
वरना दुनिया की इस भीड़ में आनंद तू तो बेहद अकेला निकला !
